 The Meaning of AomA |
'AomA' is the Korean transliteration of 'A'- 'U'- 'M'-, which are the utterance of a Sanskrit mantra(holy words)
'Aum'. It can be interpreted into Korean language "A-reum-dap-go O-myohan Maeum", the meaning of
which is 'beautiful and profound mind' which can revive each other and is based on win-win philosophy of yoga. And the word 'AomA(我悟??)' in Chinese language means 'Am I enlightened?" and also it can be interpreted
into 'Academy Of Meditation Arts' in English. |

| The Objectives of the Establishment |
| The objectives of the establishment of AomA Yoga Academy are : |
[1] to spread the scientific yoga of Kaivalyadhama tradition of India after receiving it independently and
critically according the real situation of Korean society.
[2] to improve right understanding of the body, mind and the beyond of human being.
[3] to help mankind to live harmonious life together by reducing conflicts between the different religions,
philosophies, ideologies, races, cultures etc... through the research and practice of cultural synthesis.
[4] to help men to become free from the problem of suffering of human being by groping and practising
the way to slove it fundamentally. |

| The History and Development of AomA |
Paramil center in which Mr. Kim, Je-Chang, the present director of AomA, started teaching yoga since June of
1992 in front of Seoul National Univerisity of Education, was the first beginning of AomA Yoga Academy.
After it he was working at SungNam with the name of 'Opened Yoga Room AomA'; working at KangNam-gu of
Seoul with the names of 'Music Meditation Yoga Center AomA', 'Music Counselling Yoga Center AomA' etc...
And finally he joined yoga teacher training course which gives 'Diploma in Yoga Education' of Kaivalyadhama
yoga college, which has become the opportunity to have relation with this tradition.
Mr. Kim, Je-Chang and his wife Mrs. Kim, Soon-Jong obtained 'Diploma in Yoga Education' issued by Kaivalyadhama yoga college and recognized by Indian government at July of 1997 and they were first Korean
people who awared 'D.Y.Ed.' After that he returned to Korea and taught yoga at GwangJang-dong center from
time to time while studying in India. They opened the branch of AomA Yoga Academy in MyeongLyoon-dong
at the October of 2001 and conducted systematic yoga courses until 2005. And they re-opened
AomA Yoga Academy in a enlarged form at the August of 2005 and are conducting systematic yoga teacher
training courses, professional yoga and psychotherapy counselling program,
private yoga lesson for CEOs and the research and practice of cultural synthesis etc...
